How to Bring Your “Impossible” Dreams Into Reality

Tanya Penny Intuitive Illness & Trauma Guide

Today’s video message is all about staying open to possibilities and believing in the impossible. I’m actually getting ready this week to head out for a dream trip to Bali. This has been on my vision board for maybe five years. Of course I had a little voice inside my head that was saying, “Why even put that on there? That’s never going to happen. How on earth are you going to make that work? How are you going to take the two weeks off (because it’s so far to fly) and have the money to do it?”

I didn’t listen to the little voice in my head. I put the picture on my vision board and kept focusing on it. I kept focusing on what my mind told me was the impossible. I’m happy to say that I leave for Bali on Oct 21 for two weeks.

When I signed up for the trip back in June I had no idea how I was going to pay for it. But my heart told me I had to go. I had an offer at a women’s mastermind retreat and there was just no way I could say no.

My heart said “Sign up. Get out of the how.” And so I am going on this dream trip!

I’d like you to do a little exercise to embrace this idea:

1. Set the fear aside. Grab your journal, notebook or whatever it is. Close your eyes if you don’t feel like writing.

2. What is that impossible dream that has been lingering in your heart? Put aside The Hows: The time. The money. Give yourself permission to dream the impossible.

3. Put that up on your vision board. Put it up on your computer. Wherever it is you want to post your impossible dreams.

I got this exercise from my guru Carolyn Myss, and her full exercise is to write about and think about six impossible dreams. I do this every few weeks and it really does push me out of the box.

Just let yourself dream for five to 10 minutes.

The truth is that we can’t create anything that we don’t focus on or pay attention to. This exercise helps things to shift just a little bit every time you do it. Feel free to add to them and change them; remember we change as we grow. Give yourself permission to dream these impossible dreams, because you never know, It might just happen, like my Bali trip.

Thanks for joining me. Have a wonderful week and have fun dreaming the impossible!

Live Now: Stop Putting Off Your Passions until Tomorrow

Tanya Penny Intuitive Illness & Trauma Guide

Today’s message comes from a serious, heartfelt and sensitive place. I’m dedicating my video message to Mark Urban and his family. Mark was a smoke jumper who had his last jump on September 27. He was a friend of mine and the husband of my best friend Rebecca. My message is meant to honor Mark and to Rebecca. Please don’t wait to do the things that are important to you in your life, the things you are passionate about, the things that you’ve put to the side as something to do “someday.” I’d like you to reconsider because life is very, very short. Mark was only 40 years old. He lived a passionate life. His loved his career. He was an avid motorcyclist and bicyclist. He spent much of his free time enjoying those activities. And of course his biggest passion was his love for his wife. They did the things they both loved together — traveling, hiking, camping, spending time with friends — things that were important to them. I’d like you to go through a three-step process today: Write down what you’re passionate about but have been putting aside. Grab some paper and pen or use whatever technology you want, and make a list of those things. Place a number next to each one indicating how important it is to you. Make some small step toward your top three things today (Start the first chapter of the book you’ve been meaning to write. Sign up for kayak lessons. … Continue reading →
