Embrace Your Imperfection & Sanity

Most of us have a perfectionist part of us that fears: making mistakes, failing, criticism, being rejected or embarrassed. This causes us to either freeze/become paralyzed and do nothing or to spend way too much time and over-do on personal or professional projects. Your perfectionist can drive you crazy, make you feel like you are losing your mind, and even make you sick.

The truth is there is NO PERFECT and that mistakes and even failures are normal and all part of our path to learn and grow. We must learn how to balance our perfectionist, move beyond our fears, and live a balanced life SO we can heal our body, listen to our guidance and fully live our passions and purpose.

Tips, Tools, & Resources For Sanity & To Embrace Your Imperfection:

  • Take one small action to feel more sane or move forward with what you are afraid to do (personal or career/purpose). Doing one of the below counts. 🙂
  • Journal/Reflect: Where are you letting perfection hold you back in life or drive you crazy?
  • Write down your perfectionist’s fears & beliefs that are driving you crazy. You can’t shift what you are not aware of.
  • Go for a walk or run outside- breathe in peace and out fear/panic as you do and remind yourself how loved and supported you are by your higher levels (whatever you call it).
  • Stop, sit or lye down, & listen to a guided T.M.P. practice to release fear, connect with your true self, and shift the beliefs that drive you crazy:

Connect & Trust Infinite Wisdom

An essential key for me to heal Multiple Sclerosis, grow a business I love, and live my life of abundance and freedom has been “Connecting & Trusting Infinite Wisdom” – Higher Levels, God, Universe, Source, Mother Nature, whatever you choose to call it. I grew up Catholic, but when I turned 18 decided religion was not for me…too many rules & restrictions, a punishing God. Unfortunately, I threw out any connection with something bigger bigger because I didn’t know I could have a spiritual connection without organized religion. When I became sick with M.S. I went through a really dark time and started searching for the meaning of it all. Long story short, I realized a big cause to my health breakdown (and relationship, career) was believing that I was in control, had to control everything, do everything alone (Holy STRESS). As a “control queen” and workaholic/doer, I felt overwhelmed from the time I woke up until I fell asleep. This lead to anxiety, depression, sleep issues, weight problems, and eventually the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Believing there was/is something out there that is always supporting and guiding me AND that I don’t have to “do it all” by myself was a huge shift for me. 5 Tips to Survive & Thrive During the Holidays

Welcome! Today I would like to share with you tips to not only help you survive but thrive during the holiday season and beyond. You can take these into 2014 as well. For a lot of us the holidays can be super stressful and just really increase our stress level for lots of reasons. So today I’d like to share with you five tips: Get out and move your body: Some of you might like to run or walk. We often get too busy and forget to take care of ourselves. Moving our bodies helps to releases physical, mental and emotional stress from our bodies and burns calories as a total bonus! Make time, at least 15 minutes, to move, even if it’s dancing in your living room. Slow down, and do less. Take more time for you. Delegate, ask for more support and let go of what is not really important. The voice in our head tells us that everything is important and everything has to be done.
