Our body is a feedback mechanism letting us know if we are in or out of balance in our life. It gives us symptoms such as pain, insomnia, weight, fatigue, and for some of us chronic illness and disease.
If we learn to connect and listen to our body, hear the message(s) it is giving us, and then take action to get back into balance, I believe we can balance and heal our bodies. Watch this video to get started!

The truth is that I fell off the life balance wagon again last week and was suffering for it yesterday (fatigue, weakness, crying, etc.). I know what you may be thinking “How does someone who teaches this stuff for a living fall off the wagon”?! EASILY! I am human and I am deeply conditioned to DO, DO, DO! Plus I love my work so that can be a sexy excuse to over do-it. 🙂 So May is all about life-balance. I have been in Maui now for 8 days and am loving it (of course) AND I also want to share with you that I have been struggling a little bit with not working this week and feeling guilty for taking a week off for my birthday. It made me realize how much my ego can still be attached to doing to be worthwhile, and how the voices in my head still say “who do you think you are to go to maui for your b-day, live your dreams, etc.” Yes. Despite all the self-work I have done I still struggle with self-acceptance too. Acceptance of my body (I put on a few vacation pounds), my needs (expressing what I want to do on vacation to my boyfriend) and living my dreams (travel whenever and wherever I choose). So I started using my self-acceptance and worth guided TMP practice again. 🙂 Learning acceptance has been one of my biggest challenges and also the ultimate key in healing Multiple Sclerosis (and body shame/weight). I had to first accept that I had the diagnosis. I then had to accept that my body couldn’t do what it could before and that I couldn’t work 40+ hours/week. We can’t heal a body we hate. I also learned to accept and listen to the messages my body was giving me (symptoms of fatigue, pain. etc.) vs. fighting it, pushing it, and ignoring it. What is the #1 thing that holds you back from creating what you truly want in your life? Healing an illness or losing weight (for good). Finding your soul partner, love of your life.
