Fear and worry live only in the future. The truth is that 90% of what we worry about or fear actually never happens. The only thing we have control over is our actions/thoughts/words in this moment. Today when you find yourself in fear or worrying about the future become aware of it and bring your attention back to right now, this moment, whatever you happen to be doing. Breath. Feel the ground beneath your feet. Bring yourself back to this moment over and over again.

Are You A “Worry Wort”?

Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its strength. -A.J. Cronin I found myself worrying the past couple days about the future again…my business, money, relationships in my life, etc. I guess I beleive by worrying in advance that maybe I can prevent or change the future? Or be better able to handle it? The truth is that that what I often worry about never happens! And even when it does I didnt prevent it by worrying nor did I handle it any better. What are you wasting your energy worrying about today? Acknowledge it. Then bring yourself back to the present moment, to today, and start putting your energy into living now!
