In my experience, fully loving who you are is something that most of us struggle with, and is necessary to healing and receiving abundance in all areas of your life.
Not loving yourself 100% (your thoughts, words and actions) or feeling worthy are at the root of most health issues– pain, fatigue, weight, anxiety, depression, autoimmune disorders, other chronic illness, and also cause us to have breakdowns in our relationships, purpose/career, and with money.
Not fully loving your self might look like: negative self-talk, beating up on yourself for not doing enough (or good enough), not taking time to nurture yourself daily, pushing yourself too hard or doing too much, being in relationships that are not fulfilling & supportive (even abusive), staying in a job you don’t like, or not earning the money you desire.
You may not fully love yourself, or believe your are worthy for several reasons — You didn’t get the love, attention and emotional support you needed as a child, grew up with a critical parent, didn’t see your parents nurture themselves, or maybe you experienced abuse – verbal, physical, or sexual.
Loving myself was not something that came naturally to me…I felt a lot of self-hatred and abused myself (thoughts, words, actions) from a very young age.
Anxiety, depression, and excess weight were all the clues I needed to start loving myself more, but I didn’t really start the journey til Multiple Sclerosis knocked at my door.
It hasn’t been a fast or easy journey, but learning to truly love myself has been one of the biggest Keys to healing my body, mind and past trauma.
